Several casinos across Oklahoma and neighboring areas experienced heightened security measures and temporary disruptions today after receiving reported threats that prompted a large-scale response from multiple law enforcement agencies.

According to initial reports, Lighthorse Police were alerted after a threatening phone call was received concerning Winstar Casino. The caller allegedly claimed to be inside a white van parked at the casino and stated that they were armed with a rifle and intended to enter the property and harm people. Authorities immediately treated the threat as credible, deploying officers from multiple agencies to secure the area and conduct a thorough search of the property.

During the response, investigators learned that Choctaw Casino had reportedly received a nearly identical threatening phone call. As law enforcement coordinated its efforts, additional information emerged indicating that Downstream Casino in Ottawa County had also received a similar threat. Officials have not yet confirmed how many casinos were targeted or whether the incidents are connected.

Emergency personnel quickly searched the affected properties while implementing security protocols designed to protect guests and employees. According to reports, Winstar Casino was cleared shortly after 3:00 p.m. after authorities completed their search and determined there was no immediate threat to the public. Officials have not announced whether any suspicious individuals or vehicles were located during the response.

At this time, no injuries have been reported in connection with the incidents. Law enforcement agencies continue to investigate the source of the threatening calls and are working to determine whether the reports were part of a coordinated hoax or another form of criminal activity.

Authorities are urging the public to remain calm and rely on verified information released by law enforcement rather than unconfirmed social media reports. Threats of violence are treated with the utmost seriousness, and agencies continue to work together to ensure the safety of casino patrons, employees, and surrounding communities.

The investigation remains active, and officials are expected to provide additional updates as more information becomes available. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is encouraged to contact the appropriate law enforcement agency.
